Politician disputes waitress’ claim

From Times News Reports

Five-term U.S. Rep. Jim Gibbons, the GOP gubernatorial candidate, said he’d be willing to take a polygraph to prove he did not assault a Las Vegas cocktail waitress.

Chrissy Mazzeo, 32, has said Gibbons pushed her up against a wall at a Las Vegas restaurant Oct. 13 and made a sexual advance while he and a prominent GOP operative were walking her to her truck. Gibbons, 61, says she tripped and he caught her, then walked away.

She called police that night but withdrew her complaint the next day, saying she had been threatened and pressured by someone claiming ties to the Gibbons campaign.
