Girl, 15, is shot in the face, taken to hospital

A 15-year-old girl was shot in the face Saturday, apparently the mistaken victim of gang related violence, police said.
The teenager, who was not identified, was in stable condition at a local hospital Saturday evening, said Los Angeles Police Officer Martha Garcia.
The girl was shot about 2 p.m. while standing near Figueroa and 73rd streets, police said. No suspects have been arrested.
