Why no outcry?

Re “A pedophile priest, in his own words,” Feb. 17

I hope the film “Deliver Us From Evil” will be a wake-up call to those in our Catholic community and clergy who just want this problem to go away. The apathy is mind-boggling, and the responses of “I don’t believe it” and “The Times is against the Catholic Church” defy understanding. Had it not been for brave Catholics and the media, these crimes against our children and the equally horrific coverups would probably still be hidden away and not crying to be addressed. It’s hard to believe that there is virtually no outcry from parishioners in the L.A. Archdiocese.
