Candidate’s stance earns a vote

Re “Obama yields to a greener side,” June 13

After 25 years of voting primarily pro-choice, I’ve moved the environment up to my top spot. Even if the Supreme Court manages to take away all legal abortions in this country, there will still be safe alternatives for some. But where will we turn if we destroy our planet’s ability to sustain life? Kudos to Sen. Barack Obama (D-Ill.) for taking the right path and insisting his support for liquid coal requires that it be cleaned up first. He continues to show me that he is a courageous, thoughtful leader, one who is deserving of my vote.
