Killer who blamed daughter gets life

A man who tried to pin his wife’s brutal slaying on their 12-year-old daughter was sentenced in Pierre to life in prison for first-degree murder.
Brad Reay, 47, had testified at his trial that he found his daughter Haylee with a knife in her hand, standing over her mother’s dead body in her bed in the middle of the night. He said the girl had no memory of what she did and that his only crime was trying to cover it up.
