United to take stake in Aloha

UAL Corp.’s United Airlines said it was taking a minority stake in Aloha Airlines as the two carriers expand their alliance in Hawaii and Pacific-region markets.
The carriers plan to expand “marketing, operational and financial opportunities,” Chicago-based United and Honolulu- based Aloha said. UAL will take an undisclosed stake in Aloha and receive a seat on Aloha’s board, the carriers said.
