Redefining the special purpose acquisition company litigation landscape Perrie M. Weiner is the partner-in-charge of the Los Angeles office and chair of the North America Securities Litigation Group at Baker McKenzie. He manages high-stakes shareholder derivative disputes and SEC enforcement matters for global hedge funds and public companies.
Under Weiner’s stewardship the Los Angeles office expanded from four to over 74 professionals while securing a historic lateral acquisition of a 17-lawyer corporate group. This proficiency in securities defense is evidenced by his status as one of the few lawyers qualified to represent directors and officers for major insurers like AIG. He provides philanthropic leadership as a trustee of the Windward School where he increased annual fund contributions from $700,000 to over $3 million.
