Hot Property: Louis C.K. buys summer home slept in by Babe Ruth

What do Babe Ruth, Teddy Roosevelt and Louis C.K. have in common? Similar taste in Hamptons getaways, apparently.
The comedian, famous for his self-deprecating stand-up routines and his FX series “Louie,” has purchased a Tudor-style cottage on Shelter Island that once served as the vacation home to the baseball legend and former U.S. president.
Accessibly by ferry, the waterfront property, known as Primrose, occupies a little over two acres on the eastern end of Long Island, N.Y. Its 4,957 square feet of living space runs across three floors and includes period details, a generous sun room, six bedrooms, six brick fireplaces and three full baths.
The sale, which was first reported by the New York Post, closed on May 20 for $2.44 million. It originally came to market in February 2013 for $2.9 million.
