Los Angeles is the starting ground for many successful beauty products. Here is a list of five local beauty brands celebrated by Hollywood makeup artsts and celebrities.

The hydrating eye cream, at top, is made with the kola nut, and the Kenyan coffee body scrub is made with a mix of coffee beans, sugar and mongongo nut oil. The brand is inspired by Grieco's family, including her grandmother, a coffee farmer in Kenya.
