Hallo zusammen,

ich bin Katy und #neuhier. Ich habe hier Friendica gefunden, weil ich bei der DI.Day Initiative mitmache und gerade dabei bin Alternativen für die Meta-Dienste auszuprobieren. Von daher interessiere ich mich besonders für Tipps, wie man digital unabhängiger von BigTech-Firmen werden kann. 😊

Bin auch auf Mastodon (als 20to40style, Instanz: mastodon.social), wo ich schon ein paar meiner eigenen Wechselrezepte und #dutgemacht Erfolge gepostet habe.

Privat macht es mir viel Spaß nach alten, historischen Anleitungen (zumeist aus den 1920er bis 1940er Jahren) zu #stricken und zu #häkeln. Habe dazu auch einen Pixelfed-Account (als 20to40style, Instanz: gram.social) gestartet.

Trage gerne Vintage-Mode, wobei aber gilt #vintagestylenotvintagevalues !
Außerdem besuche ich mit meinem Mann gerne Vintage-Veranstaltungen (z. B. Tweed Walks, 20er Jahre Parties, #rocknroll Parties, Flohmärkte, Antikmärkte, etc.). Hoffe, dass es Leute gibt, die vielleicht, den ein oder anderen Tipp haben, wo etwas in dieser Richtung in NRW los ist.

Freue mich, hier zu sein und neue Kontakte zu knüpfen.

For example, “the band.” Before SUN, the concept of a band did not exist. It became really popular with the British Invasion. Today, we think it's completely normal for bands to make music. And it is.
Or Scotty Moore's iconic guitar playing, e.g., the power chords. Not a single punk band would exist without Scotty. And one could go on forever. But above all, it is one thing: raw and beautiful.

Jede Woche intensiv ein Album hören, so wie früher, als Zeit üppig und Geld knapp war. Vergangene Woche: Das 2024er Debut »For Your Sins« der Band Dea Matrona aus Belfast. Gefälliger Gitarren-Rock-Pop mit ein bisschen Alternative und ein bisschen Folk. Hallo zusammen.
Mein Ausflug ins Fediverse mit Friendica liegt seit gut einer Woche auf Eis. Die von mir gewählte Instanz hat seit Samstag Probleme und ist offline und es sieht nicht so aus, als würde sie bald wieder stabil laufen. Also bin ich wieder auf der Suche nach einem Shuttle, das mich durch Fediverse schippert.

Mastodon möchte ich nicht ausprobieren, aber Calckey/Firefish würde mich interessieren. Wollte mir dahingehend eine Instanz ansehen, die allerdings nur per Einladung neue UserInnen aufnimmt. Wenn also hier jemand eine Empfehlung für eine offene Calckey/Firefish oder Friendica Instanz hat, dann her damit.
