I have successfully compiled and configured Stamp on postmarketOS Edge with sxmo. Stamp is a GTK4 Mail client and could become a valuable alternative to Thunderbird on Linux Mobile.

Kein #Session #Restore in #GNOME51

Die lange versprochene Funktion kommt auch nicht mit der nächsten #GNOME-Version. Dabei ist sie wichtig für den Desktop, insbesondere wenn man virtuelle Arbeitsflächen verwenden möchte.

Es ist ein Trauerspiel und ich überlege mir langsam, die #Desktop-Umgebung zu wechseln. #KDE #Plasma unterstützt diese Funktion seit Version 6.4 (von 2025). Wenn ich mich recht erinnere, gab es bei GNOME 2 auch ein Session Restore.

Kein Windows, RAM & SSD selbst tauschbar, mattes 3K-Display, Linux ab Werk — plus frischer Kernel und ab Werk eingespielte Fixes für Zen 5.

Erster Eindruck: Obsidian indexiert spürbar schneller, Ruhezustand tadellos, Lüfter fast immer still. Ehrlicher Schwachpunkt: die Akkulaufzeit.
