The #Trenhotel night train #Lusitânia for #Madrid 🇪🇸 is ready to depart from #Lisbon 🇵🇹 Santa Apolonia station, one evening in April 2009. Two locos are positioned ahead of the rake of #Talgo cars: a #CP Class 2600 will haul the train over the first, electrified, part of the journey. Later on, the Class 1930 diesel, already in place behind the 2500, will take over.

#LeoExpress, a #Renfe Intl. subsidiary, is currently operating a service between #Prague 🇨🇿 and #Bratislava 🇸🇰 vv, twice daily. The consist, hauled by a #Railpool #Siemens #Vectron Class 193 electric - branded ‘leo express’ - includes #TalgoVI cars that previously used to work #Talgo services in Spain. There’s also a #Bistro.

#RENFE 🇪🇸 269-902 is seen here working the #Gijón portion of a daytime #Talgo originating in #Barcelona and composed of #TalgoIII stock. These cars were built in the 1960s. I very much like their design and colour scheme. Picture taken with the permission of the lovely train crew at #Busdongo station on the #Pajares line in April 2007.

#Milano 🇮🇹 Centrale, one December morning in 2007: #Trenhotel #Talgo #Euronight “Salvador Dalí”, from #Barcelona 🇪🇸, has just arrived, hauled by a #Trenitalia #FS Class E.656 #Caimano electric. The train is visible on the left. On the adjacent track, we see the nose of a Class E.444R #Tartaruga.

Some interior design features of the new #DSB 🇩🇰 #Talgo. A good mix of bays of four (bays of two or four in 1st) and airline style seating, with tray tables and tablet holders. Individual reading lights. One “European” power outlet per seat, no USB or wireless charging. Comfy seats, reclining within a seat shell.

On board the #DB 🇩🇪 #NachtZug #Talgo night train from #Hamburg Altona to #Augsburg in June 2007: a Class 101 electric is hauling the train as far as #Munich Hbf. This is also a car-carrying train: vehicles will be unloaded at Munich East.
