Charlie Amter first started writing for Calendar Weekend in 2004 as a freelancer. He joined latimes.com as the Bars & Clubs producer for theguide.latimes.com in 2007 and left in March of 2009 to work for a magazine on sale on fine newsstands everywhere (and a few thousand supermarkets as well). Previously, Amter has written for SF Weekly, Miami New Times, GQ magazine and England’s Guardian newspaper. He loves tomatoes and black-capped chickadees.
