AFC notes: A.J. McCarron gets the start for the Bengals

News and notes from around the AFC before Sunday’s games.

Baltimore: The Ravens are 2-4 at home this season after going 45-11 in John Harbaugh’s first seven seasons. Baltimore has won all four of its games on the final play.

Buffalo: QB Tyrod Taylor has a passing and a rushing touchdown in three games this season. He’s had 18 scoring passes and five passes intercepted.

Cincinnati: AJ McCarron will start for Andy Dalton (broken thumb). McCarron completed 22 of 32 passes in relief of Dalton last week but had two passes intercepted.

Cleveland: Running back Isaiah Crowell rushed for a career-high 145 yards and had two touchdowns last week. Cleveland hasn’t played in Seattle since 2003.

Denver: The Broncos allow the fewest yards per play in the NFL (4.3) and lead the league in sacks(44). Denver is 6-1 on the road, tying a franchise record.

Houston: Defensive end J.J. Watt needs 1¿1/2¿ sacks for his third 15 sack season since 2012, but will be playing his second game with a broken hand.

Indianapolis: Frank Gore needs 40 yards from scrimmage for 15,000 in his career. Receiver T.Y. Hilton needs 13 yards for his third straight 1,000-yard season.

Jacksonville: Denard Robinson will start for injured running back T.J. Yeldon (sprained knee). Robinson had a 75 rushing yards with a score last week.

Kansas City: Receiver Jeremy Maclin has 24 catches for 323 yards with three scores over the last three games. The Chiefs are riding a seven-game win streak.

Miami: Fifth-round draft pick Tony Lippett is set to make his first start at corner with fellow rookie Bobby McCain dealing with a concussion from last week’s game.

New England: Quarterback Tom Brady is the only offensive player on the Patriots to start every game at the same position. New England’s defense has four players.

N.Y. Jets: Todd Bowles can become the fourth consecutive head coach to reach the postseason in his first season with the Jets (Herm Edwards, Eric Mangini, Rex Ryan).

Oakland: Linebacker Khalil Mack had five sacks last week and has nine in last three games. He needs two to tie Derrick Burgess’ fran- chise record (16).

Pittsburgh: Cornerback William Gay has return- ed his last five intercep- tions for touchdowns. DeAngelo Williams’ eight rushing scores are second-most in the NFL.

San Diego: The Chargers are playing their last home game of the season, and perhaps last in San Diego with a potential move to L.A. still a possibility.

Tennessee: Marcus Mariota is the first player with touchdowns of at least 40 yards passing, rushing and receiving in same season since Walter Payton in 1983.
