Lesotho, says Gary Bowne of Santa Ana, is “one of those accidents of the colonial period,” an essentially rural country tucked within South Africa. He was touring there last month after visiting friends in South Africa, when he came across these children tending herds of cows on a sparsely treed hillside. He used a Panasonic DMC TZ3.
