Your Scene: grocery shopping, Italian style

You know you’re getting a fresh meal when you see the chef of a restaurant in Monterossa al Mare, Italy, picking out his tomatoes at the farmers’ market across the street. John Reid Oyler of Newport Beach came across this scene in the village, the first of a string of five that make up the Cinque Terre. He and his wife, Shauna, returned last month from their hiking odyssey. He used a Canon Rebel digital.
