Jazz in Carmel, CA

Jazz in the Plaza: Carmel’s 12-week music series, featuring Monterey Peninsula musicians, kicks off on Friday and will be held weekly with a wine and cheese tasting.

When, where: 5 to 7 p.m. Fridays through Sept. 21 at downtown’s Carmel Plaza, Ocean Avenue and Mission Street.

Admission: The music is free, $15 per person for wine and cheese.
