California governor’s mansion after dark

The Sacramento landmark is open for a “lights out” tour, when docents dress in traditional Halloween costume and storytellers help conjure the past.

When, where: Oct. 26 and 27 at the Governor’s Mansion State Historic Park, 1526 H St.

Cost: $5, $3 for ages 6 to 17, 5 and younger free.
