Kids rule with this Omni family getaway package

You know kids, it’s all about them -- even on vacation. Omni Hotels & Resorts has an offer that includes free breakfast for kids and a 15% room discount for parents. Sweet!
The deal: The Family Discover package could be a good excuse for a late summer getaway. It requires a two-night minimum and includes buffet breakfasts for kids younger than 12 (with an adult meal purchase). Bonus freebie: Any child who stays at an Omni also gets a Sensational Kids pack stuffed with a Frisbee, crayons and pages of puzzles and activities.
When: The package is good through Sept. 5.
Tested: I checked several hotels and found weekends pretty booked up but some midweek stays available in August. For example, I found a room on Aug. 16-18 for two adults and two kids for $178 a night at the Omni San Diego and $109 a night at the Omni Tucson National Resort; prices don’t include tax. Those prices reflect a 15% discount off the best available rate.
