The math is pretty simple on this 11-11-11 deal at the Avalon Hotel in Beverly Hills. Rooms cost $11 the night of Nov. 11 for guests who stay two or three nights. How much do you think breakfast or happy hour costs? Right -- and you didn’t even need a calculator.
Deal: The hotel, which has been around under a different name since 1949, recently renovated its 83 rooms and suites. Besides the $11 room, this offer takes 11% off the standard rate on Nov. 12 and 13. Continental breakfast costs $11 as well as happy-hour specials (cocktails and appetizers) and daily parking.
When: The offer is good Nov. 11-13 only.
Tested: I checked the hotel’s website and found the deal available for a two-night stay. The price breakdown shows $11 for Nov. 11 and $212 for Nov. 12, excluding tax.
Standard rate for the same room on the same nights cost $270 plus tax. Here’s where the math gets fuzzy: The additional nights for $212 show a deeper discount (almost double) than the promised 11%, but who’s complaining?
