Daily Deal: Kimpton’s room sale at Washington-area hotels

If you’re heading to the nation’s capital for this summer, Kimpton Hotels has launched a handy sale on all room categories at 12 locations in the greater Washington area. Save up to 20% on three-night stays at places such as Donovan House in the District or the Hotel Monaco Alexandria in nearby Northern Virginia.
The deal: Kimpton Hotels is offering this as a tiered deal that takes 10% off a single-night stay, 15% off a two-night stay and 20% off a three-night stay. Use the code “Boom” (the sale is called Red White and Boom!) when making a reservation. Perks at this hotel chain include a free wine hour each evening, free coffee and tea in the mornings and free Wi-Fi.
When: The offer is good until July 8 for stays from June 27 to Sept. 8.
Tested: I checked dates for a Fourth of July getaway (July 4-7) and found $119 a night instead of $149 at the Hotel Monaco Alexandria; and $111 a night instead of $139 a night at the Hotel Rouge in Washington.
