Daily Deal: Palm Springs-area resort offers 20% off two-night stay

The Hyatt Regency Indian Wells Resort & Spa near Palm Springs is discounting rooms by 20% for those who visit at least two nights through the end of the year. Fall and winter are the best times to see California’s deserts — and you might even decide to plan a holiday stay.
The deal: The Autumn Sale discounts room rates by 20% for two nights and 30% for three nights or more. Use the code “AHSALE” when making a reservation online or by phone. The hotel has 530 nonsmoking rooms, all with balconies or patios.
When: The offer is good until Oct. 31 for travel through Dec. 31, based on availability.
Tested: I checked availability for Nov. 1-3 and found a room with two queen beds for $175 a night, $44 less than the best available rate on the same nights. Note the prices don’t reflect tax and $25 nightly resort fee. Also, the Lake Tahoe Resort, Spa and Casino in Incline Village, Nev., offers the same Autumn Sale too.
