La Casa de los Espejos is a small bed-and-breakfast about 1/3 of a mile from the center of San Miguel de Allende. It’s a very quiet, very secure location. I loved my second-floor room, entered through a private entrance. It was large, with a balcony (locked unless I unlocked it), a deep tub/shower for long soaks, a fireplace, wall-to-wall closets and lots of espejos — mirrors. Breakfast is a treat, with fresh juices and homemade cheese gorditas. The hospitable owner is on-site, and there was helpful, kind service from all. Great for a woman traveling solo.
