Staff photographer Ken Hively took this image at 9th and Figueroa streets. It appeared as a stand-alone image on the Nov. 9, 1983, Los Angeles Times Metro page.
The sleeping woman was believed to be homeless. The print for this image was found in the Los Angeles Times archive, filed with images of the homeless.
