Land Bought for Warehouse

Hollingsworth/Arnett, Cerritos, has purchased 7.5 acres of industrial property at 5424 E. Slauson Ave., at the Long Beach (7) Freeway in City of Commerce, from a division of LTV Corp. for $2.4 million and plans to develop a 180,000-square-foot distribution warehouse.

Construction will begin at the end of this year after clearing empty former LTV buildings off the site, with occupancy planned for next spring. Both parties were represented by Grubb & Ellis, Los Angeles, who will handle leasing of the new development.
