Bankrupt Airline Cuts Service

SPOKANE, Wash. — Bankrupt Cascade Airways, a Northwest regional carrier, today halted virtually all its operations due to financial difficulties.

The only flights maintained were to three cities--Spokane, Kalispell, Mont., and Calgary, in Alberta, Canada, a spokeswoman said. Only one aircraft will be used on that route. The action followed the signing of an order in U.S. Bankruptcy Court here allowing Beech Acceptance Corp. to immediately take back eight airplanes it had leased to the carrier.
