Reading David J. Mecozzi’s letter (July 26) about California drivers gives me a chance to tell Southern Californians what a fairly new resident thinks.
Having driven in the Midwest for almost 25 years before moving here, I found that I was born to drive this freeway system. The courtesy and quiet (no horns to speak of) are fantastic.
I realize some drivers are selfish and inconsiderate, but considering the vast amounts of vehicles, I say, hats off to Southern California drivers. You’re great! The Midwest could certainly take lessons.
