American President Cos., Oakland, has named Michael Diaz as president of American President Intermodal, the company’s double-stack container train operating unit. Nolan R. Gimpel has been named senior vice president-marketing and logistics of American President Lines, the company’s Pacific Basin container shipping unit. The appointments represent a lateral exchange of positions of equal importance.
