Eastern, Midway Deal Signed: Eastern Airlines signed final agreements concerning the sale of a package of assets to Midway Airlines for $210 million. Eastern, which is involved in Chapter 11 bankruptcy proceedings, said it will ask the U.S. Bankruptcy Court to approve the sale. The assets include gates in Philadelphia, Washington and New York, plus 16 Douglas DC-9 aircraft.
