Youth’s Slaying Called Gang-Related

A 17-year-old San Diego youth was killed early Saturday morning in an apparent gang-related Mira Mesa shooting, San Diego police said.
Raymond L. Jose was shot about 12:20 a.m. near the intersection of Reagan Road and Mira Mesa Boulevard, as he approached a dark-colored car, police and coroner’s deputies said.
After the shooting, Jose’s companions carried him to a nearby fast-food store, where paramedics arrived but found him dead, police said.
