DIFFERENT TRACKS: A monorail linking a proposed Irvine commercial-residential development and the terminal at John Wayne Airport was envisioned as a possible first step in a bigger system. . . . But airport officials now say the monorail is in limbo because its developer--the McDonnell Douglas Realty Co.--hasn’t filed updated plans. “We’re not going to put projects on hold while they make decisions,” said an airport official. McDonnell Douglas replies that the monorail is a “full go.”
