CommerceBancorp: The Newport Beach-based parent company of CommerceBank reported earnings for the second quarter of $914,000, down 3% from the corresponding quarter last year. Assets rose 36% to $326.2 million from $239.2 million. Net income for the first half of 1990 declined 17% to $1.5 million from $1.8 million a year earlier.
