Rohr Industries Wins $1-Billion Contract: Airbus Industrie will pay Chula Vista-based Rohr $1 billion to supply another 800 jetliners with engine nacelle systems, the aerodynamic structures that surround jet engines, Rohr said. Rohr made a deal in 1984 with the European plane-building consortium to provide nacelle systems for 200 Airbus A320 jetliners. Under the follow-on agreement it will also supply nacelle systems for 800 A321 planes beginning in early 1992. The A321 is a stretch version of the A320, and Rohr said the systems will have many similarities.
