OVER HERE: It’s not easy delivering mail on streets that have no names, even if the roads are part of John Wayne Airport. To give mail carriers a break, the county is going to name the thoroughfares. . . . One, in a burst of originality, will be called “Airport Way.” Two others will be named for Paul Mantz and Frank Tallman, county aviation pioneers and movie stunt pilots. Mantz was killed during the filming of “The Flight of the Phoenix” in 1963. Tallman died 15 years later, when his plane crashed near Santiago Peak.
