Air Fare Hikes Delayed: A variety of domestic airline fare hikes that were to go into effect today have been postponed until Friday. Although all major airlines delayed the increase, the carriers are still divided on the size of the price hike. Both American and Delta airlines said they will raise most fares at least 4.4%, but the increase on some routes will be significantly higher. United has proposed an across-the-board increase of 4.4%, while Northwest will raise fares 10% on some routes.
