Zenith to Acquire Paula Financial: Zenith National Insurance Corp., based in Woodland Hills, said it agreed to acquire the Paula Financial Group, a privately held, Pasadena-based insurer of agricultural businesses in California and Arizona. The purchase price of $16.5 million will be adjusted upward or downward depending on Paula’s future losses. The agreement is subject to approval by regulators and Paula’s stockholders. Paula had $86 million of premiums written in 1991.
