Discount fare wars between the airlines has brought John Wayne up to 5.7 million passengers annually contrasted with 4.6 million two years ago. . . . It’s so popular, in fact, that strike-embattled USAir, which pulled out of there in May, 1991, now says its decision was a marketing blunder and is reviewing whether to request back in.
