Landing on Deaf Ears

I have a question for all the proponents of a civilian airport at Point Mugu who think Ventura County businesses will profit by such a venture: How many times have you stopped and made a significant purchase on your way to or from LAX or Burbank? I have made hundreds of trips to LAX and about 20 to Burbank in the more than 28 years we have lived in Camarillo, and I have yet to stop and purchase anything but gas.
I’ll tell you what you will get if the airlines start using Point Mugu: more surface traffic, more air pollution, more surface and air congestion, and lots more noise.
