Oh, wow, man. Alexander Cockburn (Column Left, Feb. 2) finally has a really intelligent idea to share with us. Down with the FCC! Up the rebels! No government control of the people’s airways!

All those evil government-authorized radio users are gonna get it. Rebel radio on the fire department and pig cop dispatch frequencies! Alternative political awareness for the air traffic control channels! Blank out those meaningless music stations and those right-wing newscasts! Chaos, sweet chaos!

But what if some cretin right-wingers should get into this and come up on top of one of Cockburn’s favorite stations? Well, perhaps we can leave one tiny regulation in place for him.
