Stuffy Skies

Regarding the Feb. 23 article called “Just How Sick Is Too Sick to Fly?”: Let me suggest a follow-up article, “Just How Sick Are You Going to Get When You Fly?”

After many years of flying to Europe on business and returning home healthy, in the past four years I have returned with respiratory illnesses that have required a visit to the doctor and a prescription for antibiotics. My doctor believes this is a result of reduction in fresh air circulation in the airplane cabin systems.

Thanks to Kathleen Doheny for including in her article the information about Rep. Jerrold Nadler’s bill [requiring 100% fresh air circulation in planes]. I have already written to Nadler and my congressman in support of this urgently needed legislation.
