Kellogg to Offer McDonald’s Coupons

Kellogg Co. said it will offer coupons for McDonald’s Corp. food on boxes of 14 of the cereal company’s brands. The offers include a free Big Mac sandwich with the purchase of a Big Mac and a free Happy Meal with a McDonald’s deluxe extra-value meal. The packages will also provide offers for McDonald’s mini-car racing sets and other McDonald’s merchandise. Battle Creek, Mich.-based Kellogg and McDonald’s have teamed up on motor sports-themed promotions since 1995. Kellogg will mention the McDonald’s tie-in in TV and newspaper ads. Kellogg shares closed down $1.56 at $95.88 on the New York Stock Exchange. Shares of Oak Brook, Ill.-based McDonald’s, the world’s largest food retailer, closed up 38 cents at $52.94 on the NYSE.
