Asian Crisis

I am totally perplexed and mystified. Where were all of the pundits, analysts and economists hiding prior to this recent Asian debacle? As an avid reader of all things economic, I don’t remember one article that signaled the forthcoming of these current events. Given the seriousness of the situation, one wonders about the wisdom of relying on any information provided by these “elves” of Wall Street and academia. How could they all have had their heads in the sand?
