Study on Reducing Airport Traffic OKd

Help may be on the way for motorists at congested Los Angeles International Airport.
The Los Angeles Board of Airport Commissioners on Tuesday awarded a $458,582 contract to Leigh Fisher Associates of San Mateo to conduct a six-month study on ways to reduce congestion and streamline traffic flow.
The study will examine low-cost, short-term measures that could be implemented before the holiday season begins.
Concepts to be studied include pickup and drop-off spots, hotel shuttle lines, re-striping lanes so that traffic moves faster and a ground transportation center.
