Take Back the Sidewalk

As a frequent pedestrian on the sidewalks of Los Angeles, I am continually startled when adult cyclists speed past me without any warning. As my heart settles back to its natural rhythm, I wonder what injuries would have occurred had I stepped unpredictably to one side. If cyclists insist on illegally riding on our sidewalk instead of their street, then they should warn us.
