Biomerica to Market Thyroid Tests in India

Biomerica Inc. said it has received approval from officials in India to market its line of thyroid tests in the country.

The Newport Beach medical technology company said it has licensed its products for marketing to three major distributors of diagnostic test kits in India.

The distributors will cover India, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh.

Biomerica offers seven tests to determine thyroid disease and thyroid dysfunction.

The company’s stock edged up 9 cents a share to $1.09 in Nasdaq trading.
