Gunman Kills 2 Women, Wounds Self

Two women were fatally shot at a party at a South Los Angeles home Saturday night by a man who then critically wounded himself, authorities said.
Los Angeles police said they received a call at 8:30 p.m. about a loud party in the 2000 block of West 84th Place. A man “became upset,” Officer Sara Faden said, and started shooting.
One woman, in her 30s, died at the scene and a second, 22, died en route to a hospital, police said. Two other victims drove themselves to a hospital. The assailant, who shot himself several times, was hospitalized in critical condition, police said.
Neither the assailant nor the victims were identified by police.
