Head of Los Angeles and Global Co-Chair of Finance and Capital Markets Groups Eric Wedel is the partner at Paul, Weiss, Rifkind, Wharton & Garrison LLP who transformed the firm’s Century City office into a premier private equity hub. He leads the finance side of approximately $200 billion in transactions over the past two years including high-profile acquisitions for Hg Capital and Stonepeak, and ongoing financing work for LA-based sponsors Diversis Capital and Leonard Green & Partners.

This record of success involves leading the financing for a $15.5-billion acquisition of Truist Insurance Holdings and a $15-billion financing package for Allied Universal. Wedel recently advised on the $18.4-billion all-cash acquisition of JDE Peet’s for Keurig Dr Pepper and structured Leonard Green & Partners’ expansion into the construction supply sector.
