Chair, Entertainment
Loeb & Loeb LLP
Scott Edel is the chair of entertainment at Loeb & Loeb. He acts as the primary deal architect for Alcon Entertainment where he manages the development and distribution of flagship properties, including the television series “Blade Runner 2099” and the animated Garfield feature. This expertise in high-stakes structuring extends to a distribution agreement for BBC Studios with Disney for an animated feature-length motion picture based on the record-setting Bluey franchise and mobile gaming negotiations for Supercell Oy with Netflix regarding Clash of Clans.
Leveraging nearly four decades of industry experience, Edel manages a premier roster of film composers, including Brian Tyler and Bear McCreary to navigate complex music publishing transactions. He successfully concluded the $400-million asset purchase of Village Roadshow through a contested Chapter 11 bankruptcy.
