Guiding Farmers and Merchants Trust Company (FMTC) through modernization and growth as EVP and chief operating officer, Christine Walker-Bowman also serves as co-president of the Farmers & Merchants Bank Foundation. A fifth-generation Walker and a 20-year veteran of the F&M brand, her transition to FMTC in early 2025 underscores the company’s commitment to its values. Walker-Bowman previously held key leadership roles, including chief risk manager at FMTC and first vice president at F&M Bank. She now spearheads FMTC’s digital innovation efforts, enhancing its brand presence and client service while overseeing a team of 46 professionals. Her strategic leadership includes appointing key regional managers in Santa Barbara and Orange County to drive expansion. Walker-Bowman’s recent initiatives include facilitating scholarships awarded to 10 high school seniors in Long Beach Unified through the Long Beach Bar Foundation collaboration.
