Chairman, President and CEO of Commercial Bank of California Ash Patel leads a financial institution that reached $3.8 billion in total assets as of September 2025. He spearheaded the bank’s strategic expansion through the acquisitions of National Bank of California, VeriCheck and ACHWorks, effectively scaling the lending business to support small enterprises. Patel recently led the acquisition of Community Bank of the Bay, a move that merged two major markets and set the firm on a purposeful journey toward a $5-billion asset milestone. His leadership successfully transitioned the bank from $200 million in assets in 2013 to its current multi-billion-dollar standing. He is also the founder of the Siksha Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to rebuilding schools and providing educational tools for underprivileged children in India and Africa.
